For my daily devotions, I have been reading in the book of Joshua. Today I was reading in chapter three, Crossing the Jordan. The devotional was talking about the priests taking stepping into the water without knowing what would come next, but knowing that God would be directing their next steps.
They followed God’s command and stepped into the Jordan never really knowing what God was doing next but knowing that he would remain faithful and lead them into the Promised Land.
I am taking my step into the Jordan this week; going to orientation at a new school with a new major. I don’t know where God is leading me….whether it’s into a career or if he is preparing me to be a wife and mother (or BOTH). I don’t know where God is leading me, but I’m taking the first step, I’m immersing my feet in the waters of the Jordan and following where God leads. I don’t know what my path looks like but God does. Where he leads I’ll follow! I look forward to this journey, and I look forward to seeing what my personal promised land holds!
